Turnkey Production Lines

Design, Integration & Commissioning
Turnkey Production Lines

Mechanical, electrical and automation engineering - delivered as one production line.

We design, procure, integrate and commission complete packaging and production lines for the Irish food, dairy and drink industry, where hygiene and uptime are non-negotiable.

Bought separately, the equipment on a line comes from half a dozen suppliers. Bought through Noreside, it is one line, delivered under one contract, with one team accountable for how it performs.

  • One contract across the whole line
  • We author the URS and run the tender
  • Every interface between machines owned by us
  • Accepted on measured performance at FAT and SAT

Contract, programme and warranty across the line

Every station, every interface - one contract.

Conveyors, guarding, controls and every interface between stations are scoped, designed and managed by Noreside.

  1. 01

    Process & filling

    Fillers, sealers and formers.

  2. 02

    Coding & marking

    Date and batch coding.

  3. 03

    Vision & verification

    Code and label checking.

  4. 04

    Checkweigh & detection

    Weight, metal and X-ray inspection.

  5. 05

    Secondary packaging.

  6. 06

    End of line and wrapping.

The scope split, agreed before anything is ordered.

The left-hand list is the contract. If it is not on it, it is not ours - and we will say so before you order anything.

What Noreside takes on

Everything between your specification and a line running at rate.

  • Specification, layout and site survey
  • Tender packages and vendor selection
  • Interface design, conveying and integration
  • FAT at the vendor’s works, installation and commissioning
  • SAT against the agreed rates
  • One warranty, plus maintenance and breakdown cover after handover

What stays with you

The decisions only the producer can make.

  • Product, recipe and packaging decisions
  • Throughput and rate targets
  • Approval of the specification before tender
  • Site access, utilities and services to the line
  • Operator resourcing and training attendance
  • Final acceptance sign-off

How we de-risk your project.

The controls we apply on every capital project we deliver.

Ambiguous or shifting scope

We author the URS. Throughput, interfaces and acceptance criteria are fixed before a tender is issued, so every vendor quotes against one unambiguous document.

Vendor under-performance

Competitive tender, technical evaluation and Factory Acceptance Testing at the vendor’s works. Performance is proven before anything ships to site.

Gaps between suppliers

One contract. Noreside owns every interface, so no vendor can point at another and no scope is left unassigned between packages.

Equipment that misses output

Contractual KPIs for OEE, throughput and waste are agreed up front and enforced at FAT and SAT. The line is accepted on measured performance.

Hygiene and compliance failures

EN 1672-2 and EHEDG hygienic design enforced across every vendor we engage, and verified at design review and again at acceptance.

Programme slippage

We own the master programme, with fixed milestones from purchase order through manufacture, FAT, installation and SAT.

Lines we are delivering.

Flahavans - flapjack packaging line

Kilmacthomas, Co. Waterford. A fully integrated line of buffer, flow wrapper and carton loader, with Noreside as main contractor and URS author. OEE target of at least 85% across the line, on a fixed ten-month programme from purchase order in July 2026 to SAT in March 2027.

  • Full User Requirement Specification written by Noreside
  • Global vendors including SACMI and Bosch tendered under our process
  • Every interface between suppliers owned by Noreside
  • FAT and SAT KPIs written into vendor contracts

Compsey Creamery - cottage cheese line

A turnkey filling and packing line under a single contract: tub filling and sealing, coding, vision, checkweigh and metal detection, tray packing and palletising, with Grunwald, Keyence, Minebea Intec and Techma Aries equipment.

  • Six stations and all connecting conveyors under one contract
  • Vendors evaluated and tendered on technical merit
  • Conveyor layout and interface design done in-house
  • Product trials and vision readability tested before ordering

Measure First - where every project should start.

A half-day visit to one line. We record what is actually there, not what the drawings say. Pick any one survey; there is no obligation.

01 - Conveyor & jam survey

Belts, transfers and guide rails walked end to end. Where it jams, and why.

  • You keep the fault list, marked up on your layout

02 - Obsolescence & spares

Every drive, PLC and robot on the line checked against manufacturer support.

  • You keep the register of what is out of support

03 - Rate & bottleneck

One shift observed. Where the line stops, and for how long.

  • You keep the stop-cause tally
